 Frequently Asked Questions

A clinical trial is a study of a drug or medical device in patients who have volunteered to participate. The Food and Drug Administration (FDA) sets rules for how a clinical trial is conducted. Following their guidelines, our doctors and nurses conduct clinical trials to determine if the drug or device is safe and effective for patient use. Each study is conducted according to a protocol established by the participating drug company and approved by the FDA and Institutional Review Board (IRB).
