Dr. Michael Albert Puente, a native of Havana, Cuba, specializes and is board certified in neurology. Dr. Puente is a graduate of Tulane University School of Medicine and completed an internship at Ochsner Medical Foundation in New Orleans and a residency at the University of Texas, Southwestern in Dallas.

He works extensively with the Neurological Rehabilitation Unit at West Jefferson Hospital, focusing on both acute and chronic neurological care.

He is a frequent lecturer on headache, stroke, and Alzheimer's disease.
